Denim Premi\u00e8re Vision<\/a><\/strong> (PV) opened its doors at the Superstudio Pi\u00f9<\/em> in Milan on 22 and 23 November. A dynamic edition characterised by lucrative business prospects and ground-breaking, sustainable innovations for the industry. The event acted as a catalyst for fashion and jeanswear brands, providing them with perspectives for designing their collections for Spring-Summer 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

According to a press release, in addition to the wide range of denim sources, attendees had the opportunity to explore 15 denim brands in the new Denim Fashion District.<\/em> The event also featured a series of innovative conferences, fashion seminars exploring trends for Spring\/Summer 2025, and inspirational talks and workshops.<\/p>\n

Towards sustainable, high-quality production at the cutting edge of technology<\/h2>\n\n

For Fabio Adami Dalla Val, director of the Denim Premi\u00e8re Vision show: “This latest edition of Denim PV was incredible, with a highly qualified visitor base and palpable excitement in the aisles. The quality of the products presented by the exhibitors was of a very high standard, whatever their origins. Denim has been an integral part of the luxury world for many years, and continues to be so. Whether in casual or sophisticated forms, denim remains a versatile material that is constantly gaining in importance. The ongoing transition in the denim industry reflects the textile industry’s global aspirations for sustainable, high-quality, state-of-the-art production.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n

Among the 2,322 visitors (up 15 per cent on November 2022), the event welcomed designers and managers of fashion and accessories brands, buyers and production managers. In addition, 69 international exhibitors from 15 countries – Italy, Spain, France, Turkey, Morocco, Japan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Mauritius, Uzbekistan and Taiwan<\/em>– included denim spinners and weavers, garment manufacturers and finishers, service and technology companies and manufacturers of accessories and components.<\/p>\n\n

The Spring-Summer 25 denim trends are all about quality, craftsmanship and meticulously designed products.<\/strong> “The emphasis is on the beauty of fabrics and colours, with trends that incorporate innovative textures and dyes, presenting contrasts ranging from the subtle to the pronounced,<\/em>” explain the organisers. “There has been a noticeable departure from traditional denimwear styles, highlighting a surprising diversity, from rigorous to creative, from thick to fluid, and a myriad of styles incorporating virtuous solutions in all product categories.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The use of natural pigments on the rise<\/h2>\n\n

“The quest for more sustainable design alternatives has been evolving for years, and it’s a movement that continues to gain momentum. The SS25 denim trends favour colour, as demonstrated by the use of natural<\/strong> or recycled pigments<\/strong> and low-water consumption techniques.<\/strong> The origin of materials is increasingly crucial in the manufacturing process. Industry players are seeking to reconcile an ethical approach with comfort and style”.<\/em>says Lorenza Martello, Denim Expert at Premi\u00e8re Vision.<\/p>\n\n
