Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris comes back for a new edition JJuly 1st to 3, at the Parc des Expositions, Porte de Versailles, Paris. This year, the show has a new name and a renewed focus on sustainability. To find out more, we interviewed Julien Schmoll, Marketing and Communications Director at Messe Frankfurt France.
Back to basics and strategic development
The trade show, formerly known as Texworld Evolution Paris, is now called Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris. « We decided to change the name because we were going through a period of evolution post-Covid. We’ve gone back to something more basic: Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, for two reasons: Texworld and Apparel Sourcing are our two main trade shows. What’s more, Apparel Sourcing is currently very much in demand among textile buyers, who now work in several segments. », explains Julien Schmoll.
This makes the event the largest textile sourcing show in Europe, with a particular focus on synergies between the different sectors. « We want to rebalance the two shows and promote synergies, because buyers are looking not only for textiles, but also increasingly for fashion complements. », ajoute-t-il.
nearly thirty nations represented
Reflecting the diversity of the global market, a total of 26 countries will be represented in Paris over the three days, including all the major sourcing nations such as China, India, Turkey, Korea, Taiwan, Pakistan and Bangladesh, as well as Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Rwanda, South Africa, Ethiopia and the Netherlands.
Texworld’s textile offering will be organised around several major national pavilions. Turkish manufacturers are loyal to the show, and most of them will be grouped together under the banner of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO). Les fabricants turcs sont fidèles au rendez-vous, et la plupart d’entre eux seront regroupés sous la bannière de la Chambre de commerce d’Istanbul (ITO). Texprocil, which is responsible for promoting the production of Indian cotton textiles, manages a strategic raw material for the country, accounting for 12% of its exports.
Taiwanese eco-textiles, Denim Village and Focus on leather
A number of individual Taiwanese manufacturers, such as Wisher, GrandeTex Development, Kiss Bride, and Broder Ming Leurn, supported by the Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF), will be showcasing the sustainable fabric ranges of the Taiwan Eco-Textile label, particularly suited to technical and activewear garments.
The Denim Village, covering 1,000 square metres in the central part of Hall 7.3, will bring together some thirty international exhibitors, offering a complete range of products, from brut materials to finished products. The Highlight Denim, in the centre, will feature a selection of products staged by Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, artistic directors of Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris, to help visitors find their way around.
An expanded and diversified offering
In response to market trends, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris is extending its range to include a variety of accessories such as totes bags and canvas shoes. « Fast fashion retailers are no longer limited to clothing. There is a kind of concept-storisation within the brands themselves, which expands the universe. », says the director.
Sustainability and transparency : a challenge for fast fashion
How do you combine sustainable fashion with fast fashion? Julien Schmoll explains : « To standardise sustainability, we launched Texpertise Econogy, which has been operating with us since February. Dans le groupe Messe Frankfurt, nous avons 55 salons dans le monde, et il nous semblait important d’uniformiser les initiatives durables. ‘He stresses the importance of transparency and traceability: ’Fast fashion brands are now obliged to publish the list of their suppliers, and consumers are also demanding greater transparency. »
Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris specifies that it does not work with ultra fast fashion (Shein, Temu), but with companies committed to ecology. « Our event encourages companies to promote their green initiatives. What’s more, Messe Frankfurt is aiming to be carbon neutral by 2035, and we are encouraging our exhibitors to become greener by making real commitments. », he says.

What innovations and sustainable initiatives?
One of the new features is the Yarn Expo pavilion, a partnership with Messe Frankfurt’s Shanghai show of the same name. Cet espace permettra de remonter l’amont de la filière en présentant des entreprises de pointe en provenance de Chine, d’Inde, du Pakistan et de Taïwan. The range of Greencell yarns developed by AceGreen from Lyocell cellulose fibres, the recycled polyester yarns from China’s Suzhou Make It Fiber, and the pure polyester, viscose and Spandex ranges from Xiamen MC Group are all worth a look. Among the exhibitors of sustainable and innovative yarns will be the Material Innovation Initiative (MII) Sourcing Hub, an innovation centre for sustainable fibres and alternative materials. ‘We try to give buyers what they want. Manufacturers adapt,” says Julien Schmoll.
This year’s edition will highlight the autumn-winter 2025-26 trends with the theme ‘IMPERFaiCTION’, exploring the limits of Man in the face of the potential of AI. Visitors can discover creative worlds and innovative materials in the trend forums.
A nod to the Olympic Games and Franco-Chinese relations
In July, the event will pay tribute to the Paris Olympic Games with a dedicated scenography. This year also marks 60 years of Franco-Chinese diplomatic relations, celebrated by the presence of a high-level Chinese representative and a partnership with the Musée des Arts Asiatiques in Paris for an exhibition on the Tang Empire starting in November.
With over a thousand exhibitors expected, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris promises to be a show packed with innovation and sustainable initiatives. Professional buyers will be able to discover a wide variety of products, from entry-level fabrics to top-of-the-range creations, while exploring new alternatives between high-tech and sustainability.
