The transition to more ethical and sustainable fashion is proceeding at its own pace, but what’s the next step? What needs to be put in place to move forward and overcome resistance to this inevitable change? From May 21 to 23, Copenhagen will host another edition of the Global Fashion Summit, a flagship event for the fashion industry, to be held in the iconic Concert Hall.

What are the key themes?

Unlocking the next level” is this year’s theme. It underlines the ambition to push the fashion industry towards new and more sustainable horizons, through debates and the exploration of crucial topics such as fashion’s political agenda, innovation and artificial intelligence, preserving the art of luxury, promoting a dignified wage for all, paths to indigenous association, extended responsibility and the futures of circular sourcing.

A veritable crossroads of innovative ideas, the Summit has already confirmed the participation of leading industry figures, including Aishwarya Sharma, fashion activist and Global Gols ambassador, Ahmed Zaidi of Hyran Technologies, Emily Stochl of Remake, and Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times. These and other speakers will share their visions and experiences in tackling the challenges of fashion.

The “Action Stage” will offer a more intimate setting for exploring concrete case studies, while “The Studio Stage” will encourage open exchanges in round-table format. The “Innovation Forum” is a unique opportunity for fashion companies to discover and integrate the most promising sustainable solutions.
